Grotta Azurra line: the magic of the sea on your table
With the Grotta Tavassi Capri Azzurra line brings the sea to your table to experience the magical atmosphere of the most famous cave in the world. Back in Roman times the cave was used as a nymphaeum by the Emperor Tiberius. Later on, in 1826, it was rediscovered and made famous by the writer August Kopisch and the painter Maler Ernst Fries.
The central theme of the Grotta Azzurra collection is the marine fauna that inhabits the waters of this reflective blue inlet. Shrimp, squid, octopus, garfish, scorpionfish and sea urchins, they all enliven the white background of the ceramic plates handmade by the ceramist Gennaro Tavassi.
Sea-themed ceramic plate service: summer atmosphere for your lunch and dinner.
Marine specimens are embraced by the blue line that recalls their natural environment. Octopuses and scorpionfish sometimes seem to go beyond the edges of the dish and give it a near-plastic effect.
Even the fish are defined by blue and yellow lines which refer to the Golden reflections of the sun. The collection of ceramic plates with fish motifs is designed for those who want to set a sea themed table with elegance and originality.
